New York Times Publishes Op-Ed by Senior Counsel Greg Nolan about Voting Rights

In today’s New York Times, Senior Counsel Greg Nolan analyzes the effect that some prosecutions may have on citizens’ willingness to vote.  The piece stems from Mr. Nolan’s authorship of an amicus brief on behalf of a bipartisan group of former state attorneys general, United States Attorneys, and high-ranking Department of Justice officials in support of a defendant’s criminal appeal in Texas.  The conviction of that defendant, Crystal Mason, was overturned last week, as Mr. Nolan had urged the court to do.
