Representative Cases:
  • Successfully opposed an Anti-SLAPP motion in a complex business litigation/employment matter.
  • Negotiated a significant settlement in a heavily litigated False Claims Act Medicare fraud qui tam
  • Drafted an amicus curiae brief for the California Supreme Court in a First Amendment case.
  • Prevailed in a pro bono unemployment insurance appeal involving allegations of sexual harassment.
  • Represented firefighters and won a $3.7 million settlement in a protected activity retaliation case.
  • Settled a complex breach of contract and land use dispute between a real estate developer and municipality.
  • Successfully obtained several summary judgments in civil rights cases (1983 claims, including First and Fourth Amendment) filed against large public entities in the Central District of California.
  • Successfully obtained a summary judgment in a Title IX case filed against a school district in the Southern District of California.
  • Successfully obtained a dismissal with prejudice of a wrongful death action filed against a county in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
  • Successfully obtained a dismissal with prejudice of a 1983 action for deliberate disregard of a serious medical condition filed against a large public entity in the Central District of California.
  • Successfully opposed a motion for jury trial filed a civil rights case involving a large public entity in the Central District of California.
