Brown White & Osborn LLP partner Ken White, a First Amendment litigator, has launched a monthly podcast on the Legal Talk Network. The podcast, called “Make No Law”, explores the background and context of famous First Amendment cases. At launch, two episodes are available: “Fighting Words,” discussing Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire and its connection to wartime persecution of Jehova’s Witnesses, and “The Schoolhouse Gates,” exploring the famous Tinker v. Des Moines case and how the Supreme Court has retreated from its strong protection of student free speech rights. It’s available on iTunes, Google Play, and to stream on the Legal Talk Network site itself.
